| Life On A Paradise Earth The world, as we know it now, will come abruptly to an end soon! The survivors of Armaggedon will survive because Jehovah will protect them from all harm. There will be no worldly government officials or governmental structure to be found anywhere on the earth. All of the kings, presidents, dictators and their cabinets will be deceased. There will be no crime because all of the criminals will be gone. There will be no non-believers of the truth because all of the them will be destroyed. Satan and his demons will be subdued for a thousand years. This is only the beginning of paradise on earth forever. The ministers of Christendom teach that all people die and go to Heaven (or Hell), but that is not what the Bible teaches us: "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." (Matthew 5:5) (King James Version) How can the “meek inherit the earth” if everyone who dies goes to Heaven? Part of living in paradise forever on earth is not having infirmities or illnesses. Isaiah prophesied about the new world many times well over three thousand years ago. The promises Jehovah made are bold and hard to believe, but His faithful never doubt that Jehovah will do whatever He says He will do. "And no resident will say, "I am sick"; The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity." (Isaiah 33:24) (New American Standard Bible) "Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing; for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert." (Isaiah 35:5,6) (American Standard Version) "He will swallow up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken it.” (Isaiah 25:8) (ASV) 25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith Jehovah. (Isaiah 65:25) (ASV) Who wouldn't want a world like this to live in? This is our Creator, Jehovah, speaking. He created the universe, all matter and energy and us all. If Jehovah says death will be swallowed up forever, it will be swallowed up forever. Also, everyone who has died will wake up from their sleep and come back to earthly living, not eternity in heaven. "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28,29) (NIV) Notice here that John did not say all who are in Heaven will come back to life. After all, if dead people were in a Heavenly paradise now, would they want to come back to an earthly existence? But John does not say the dead are in Heaven. That is simply because he knew they were not. He knew that all of the people who died will sleep until this evil, old world is wiped out by Jehovah when His day comes. These prophesies about a new Heaven and Earth have been unfulfilled for almost two thousand years: 4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. (Revelation 20:4-5) (NIV) 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:1-4) (NIV) "For there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell." (2Peter 3:13) (NIV)
Some of these unfulfilled prophecies are even older: "For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind... And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands... And it shall come to pass that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith Jehovah." (Isaiah 65:17,21,22,24,25) (ASV) Because these prophecies have been unfulfilled for so long, most people do not believe that they will ever be fulfilled. Thus, unsuspecting people will indulge in unacceptable behavior and evil acts right up to the very end: “On this account YOU too prove yourselves ready, because at an hour that YOU do not think to be it, the Son of man is coming.” (Matthew 24:44) (NIV) The very people who reject these prophecies will eliminate themselves from this prospect of living forever on a paradise earth, the world as God originally intended it to be. Why do that? Is there anything much about this current world that is better than paradise? Are we so addicted to time clocks, deadlines, violence, crime, corruption, greed, pollution, injustice, sickness and death? This is our way of life now but it is not permanent; Jehovah’s prophets have said so. 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. 11 From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do. (Isaiah 46:10-11) (New International Version) 9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" (1Corinthians 2:9) (NIV)
| One Nation Under God The citizens of the USA are familiar with the phrase, "One nation under God". That line comes from a well- known American work called "The Pledge of Allegiance". This "pledge" is recited daily in most schools throughout the country by children who usually don’t even know what it is they are pledging. What is the "pledge"? I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. From: Wikipedia "Pledge of Allegiance" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_Allegiance The patriotic verse concerns pledging loyalty to the FLAG of the country of America. While America is a fine country with many positive attributes, it still has many serious problems – just like the countries of the rest of the world. Do Americans really want to pledge allegiance to this country or be loyal citizens of God’s kingdom? Most US citizens regard America as being "one nation under God". The reality is that very few Americans recognize Jehovah as the true God. The nation may be "under God" but few of the citizens serve Him. They have pledged their allegiance to the USA instead. What is God’s kingdom? The Bible’s prophets have spoken many times about Jehovah’s kingdom but most people do not understand what it is because the priests and ministers of Christendom do not understand. The nominal Christians believe that God’s kingdom is only Heaven. It does not occur to them that the kingdom also includes our world. That is understandable since this world is, obviously, not under Jehovah’s direct rule – yet! 36 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place." (John 18:36) (NIV) Christ did not begin to rule the world back when he was alive, which is quite puzzling since people knew that he was destined to rule. 37 "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." (John 18:37) (NIV) This world was created by Jehovah and originally, He was our sovereign ruler. In their arrogance, our ancestors rejected His sovereignty long ago. 4 In time all the older men of Israel collected themselves together and came to Samuel at Ra´mah 5 and said to him: "Look! You yourself have grown old, but your own sons have not walked in your ways. Now do appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations." (1Samuel 8:4-5) (NWT) WWW.WatchTower.org One nation after another rejected Jehovah’s rule and established human kings. The result of that is apparent today. There are over two hundred countries in this world and all of them have some form of government. Every one of the governments serve to make the leaders affluent and powerful at the expense of the people they rule. The USA, the country that claims to be "One nation under God" is no different. Since most Americans swear their loyalty to their country instead of Jehovah, the country has, by a great coincidence, suffered many calamities lately – especially economically. So has the rest of the world's countries. Why now?
1 And the word of Jehovah continued to occur to me, saying: 2 "And as for you, O son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said to the soil of Israel, ‘An end, the end, has come upon the four extremities of the land. 3 Now the end is upon you, and I must send my anger against you, and I will judge you according to your ways and bring upon you all your detestable things. 4 And my eye will not feel sorry for you, neither will I feel compassion, for upon you I shall bring your own ways, and in the midst of you your own detestable things will come to be; and YOU people will have to know that I am Jehovah.’" (Ezekiel 7:1-4) (New World Translation) www.WatchTower.org This announcement originally applied to Israel long ago but now applies to the present-day world. 5 "This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, ‘A calamity, a unique calamity, look! it is coming. 6 An end itself must come. The end must come; it must awaken for you. Look! It is coming." (Ezekiel 7:5-6) (New World Translation) www.WatchTower.org Now we can see why the world has so many problems, even the many affluent countries like the USA – it is time! 8 "Now shortly I shall pour out my rage upon you, and I will bring my anger against you to its finish, and I will judge you according to your ways and bring upon you all your detestable things. 9 Neither will my eye feel sorry nor shall I feel compassion. According to your ways shall I do the bringing upon you yourself, and your own detestable things will come to be right in the midst of you; and YOU people will have to know that I am Jehovah doing the smiting." (Ezekiel 7:8-9) (New World Translation) www.WatchTower.org The "One nation under God" has "pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America." This does not please Jehovah and it shows! What is about to happen to the "One nation under God" and the rest of the world? What does the Bible say? 19 They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be an unclean thing. Their silver and gold will not be able to save them in the day of the LORD's wrath. They will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs with it, for it has made them stumble into sin. (Ezekiel 7:19) (NLT) 9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. (Ezekiel 13:9) (KJV) Is Christ finally about to take over rule of this world soon? 11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. (Revelation 19:11-16) (NIV) On June 14th, American people will display their American flags to celebrate "Flag Day". Should the people take this opportunity to reject their country with all of the burgeoning problems and pledge their loyalty to Jehovah’s kingdom – before it is too late? 23 "Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?" (Ezekiel 18:23) (ASV) 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord Jehovah: wherefore turn yourselves [around], and live. (Ezekiel 18:32) (ASV) When Christ takes over rule of this world, we truly will have "One nation under God". It will be worldwide and permanent. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." 5 He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." (Revelation 21:3-5) (NIV) The people who heed these Bible prophecies will see them fulfilled soon and they will not miss their former country. The ones who refuse to believe the prophets will suffer the consequences. 10 Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near. 11 Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy." 12 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. (Revelation 22:8-12) (NIV)
| God Bless America? Most Americans and many people around the world regard the USA as a fine country, even “The Land of Opportunity”. Logically, it would seem as if God favors the USA by the way the country has apparently been blessed in the past by so many good fortunes. Historically, the country went from being an unimportant colony of Great Britain in the early 1500’s to becoming a world power less than 500 years later due mostly to an abundance of natural resources and “Yankee ingenuity”. God is widely worshiped by the citizens of this country so it makes sense that God must have given His blessing to this land a long time ago. The citizens of this country seriously consider America to be truly blessed by God.
Is it true that God favors the USA over all of the others? Does God favor any country? What does the Bible say? 16 Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. 17 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18 Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. 19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found. 21 From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. (Revelation 16:16-21) (New International Version) This does not appear good for our country or for any other country. What will happen next? 17And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, "Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, small and great." 19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. (Revelation 19:11-19) (NIV) 1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples: let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all things that come forth from it. 2 For Jehovah hath indignation against all the nations, and wrath against all their host: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter. 3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies shall come up; and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. (Isaiah 34:1-8) (American Standard Version) 21 And I will set my glory among the nations; and all the nations shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them. (Ezekiel 39:21-24) (ASV) 44 "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (Daniel 2:44) (NIV) 1 Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision. 8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. 10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him. (Psalm 2:1-4, 8-12) (ASV) 26 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One. (Acts 4:26) (NIV) 2 Jehovah will send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. 4 Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek. 5 The Lord at thy right hand will strike through kings in the day of his wrath. 6 He will judge among the nations, He will fill the places with dead bodies; He will strike through the head in many countries. (Psalm 110:2-6) (ASV) 26 and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth… 29 For, lo, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts. 31 A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Jehovah hath a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, saith Jehovah. 32 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth. 33 And the slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground. (Jeremiah 25:26,29,31,32,33) (ASV) This does not look good for the USA either. These prophecies indicate that all of the countries of the world – every “kingdom” will be utterly destroyed. The rulers, the armies, the political elements and the people in office will all be annihilated. Why? After centuries of inept, apathetic and corrupt rule by kings, dictators, and other assorted rulers, Jehovah intends to take over rulership of the earth with His Son as our King!
4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (Revelation 20:4) (NIV) This was prophesied long before Christ was even born: 17 "Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind." (Isaiah 65:17) (NIV) So, what would be the wise thing for us to do now? 2 Serve Jehovah with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that Jehovah, he is God: It is he that hath made us, and we are his; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Give thanks unto him, and bless his name. 5 For Jehovah is good; his lovingkindness endureth for ever, And his faithfulness unto all generations. (Psalms 100:2-6) (ASV)

| HOW DOES THE BIBLE DESCRIBE THE "LAST DAYS"? Most people do not believe that this world, as we now know it, is about to come to an end; yet the Bible contains many warnings for us about this very event: "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without selfcontrol, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – having a form of godliness but denying its power." (2Timothy 3:1-5) (New International Version) "First, I want to remind you that in the last days there will be scoffers (ridiculers) who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire." (2Peter 3:3) (Amplified Bible - Tyndale) So much for the people, what about the world itself? "For that will be a time of greater horror than anything the world has ever seen or will ever see again. In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, the entire human race will be destroyed." (Matthew 24:21,22) (New Living Translation)
"Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world..." (Luke 21:26) (NIV)
A Warning Message That Most Will Ignore Just Like In Jeremiah's Day!
Jeremiah was given a commission by Jehovah God, to warn the people of a coming destruction. But Jeremiah was also told in advance that no one would listen to him. "When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you." (Jeremiah 7:27) (NIV) So then - why did Jeremiah have to preach a warning message? Why did Jeremiah persist in preaching for fifty years knowing in advance - that no one would listen to him? Why ? Because Jehovah God is just - and will not destroy anyone without a prior warning: 7 "But always, first of all, I warn you through my servants the prophets. I, the Sovereign LORD, have now done this." (Amos 3:7) (New Living Translation)
"Son of man, I have made you a watchman... so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me." (Ezekiel 3:17) (NIV) So too, today - Jehovah has sent his messengers to warn mankind of an impending destruction. And they too are told by means of the Bible - that the vast majority of mankind will not listen!
"...So with God and Christ as witnesses, I command you to preach God's message. Do it willingly, even if it isn't the popular thing to do." (2Timothy 4:1,2) (Contemporary English Version)
"But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not." (Ezekiel 2:7) (New American Standard Bible) And what is today's message? "Those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become." (Jeremiah 25:33) (ASV) This message was not popular in Jeremiah's day AND it is not popular now! "If you think people are so hardened in sin that they will hate you for preaching the Word, then READ JEREMIAH." -- R. L. Whiteside. God's faithful messengers have never been in the majority. The Old Testament prophets and the New Testament apostles were never overwhelmed with popularity. People did not speak well of them or their message. They detested and persecuted these messengers. 2 Then Pashhur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the upper gate of Benjamin, which was in the house of Jehovah. (Jeremiah 20:2) (ASV) 19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. (Acts 14:19) (King James Version) Instead of becoming angry at God, who composed the message, they poured out their wrath upon the faithful servant who delivered it. It has always been so. Therefore, it should be no surprise today. THE VAST MAJORITY WILL NOT LISTEN! HOW DO WE KNOW? God's Son, himself foretold that the vast majority of mankind would be destroyed - when he returns: "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." (Matthew 7:13,14) (NIV) Is our Savior really going to destroy people? "...This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified." (2Thessalonians 1:7-10) (NIV) "A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked." (Psalm 91:7,8) (NIV) A GLOBAL DESTRUCTION "For, behold, Jehovah cometh forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity." (Isaiah 26:21) (ASV) "For, behold, Jehovah will come with fire, and his chariots shall be like the whirlwind; to render his anger with fierceness, and his rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire will Jehovah execute judgment, and by his sword, upon all flesh; and the slain of Jehovah shall be many... And they shall go forth, and look upon the dead bodies of the men that have transgressed against me..." (Isaiah 66:15,16,24) (ASV) "...Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah's wrath; but the whole earth shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy." (Zephaniah 1:14-17) (ASV) 5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. (Jude 1:5) (NIV) All of these prophecies were made thousands of years ago and are now being fulfilled. "...For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man." (Luke 21:25-27,35,36) (NIV) "Not everyone who calls me their Lord will get into the kingdom of heaven. Only the ones who obey my Father in heaven will get in." (Matthew 7:21) (CEV) THEY WILL RIDICULE AND LAUGH INSTEAD OF HEEDING THE WARNING "In that day men will ridicule you; they will taunt you..." (Micah 2:4) (NIV) Jehovah's people are trying to warn mankind that time has run out. Should we listen to them? "But you must remember... the predictions which were made by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They told you beforehand, In the last days - in the end time - there will be scoffers... It is these who are agitators... merely worldly-minded people, devoid of the Holy Spirit and destitute of any higher spiritual life." (Jude 1:17-19) (AMP) Only the wise ones will!
"In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead." (Acts 17:30-31) (NIV)
| Become Like Little Children... Being intelligent can be quite a blessing. High intelligence can help people learn a wide variety of subjects and make informed decisions about many important matters. For example, some people are expert scientists... According to Wikipedia, Stephen Hawking is a British theoretical physicist and cosmologist, whose scientific books and public appearances have made him an academic celebrity. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts,[2] a lifetime member of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences,[3] and in 2009 was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award in the United States.[4] Most people familiar with Doctor Hawking agree that he is, obviously, highly intellegent and quite a scientist. What are his religious views? In his early work, Hawking spoke of God in a metaphorical sense, such as in A Brief History of Time: "If we discover a complete theory, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason – for then we should know the mind of God."[66] In the same book he suggested the existence of God was unnecessary to explain the origin of the universe.[67] His 2010 book The Grand Design and interviews with the Telegraph and the Channel 4 documentary Genius of Britain, clarify that he does "not believe in a personal God".[68] Hawking writes, "The question is: is the way the universe began chosen by God for reasons we can't understand, or was it determined by a law of science? I believe the second." He adds, "Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing."[69][70] His ex-wife, Jane, said during their divorce proceedings that he was an atheist.[71][72] Hawking has stated that he is "not religious in the normal sense" and he believes that "the universe is governed by the laws of science. The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws."[73] In an interview published in The Guardian newspaper, Hawking regarded the concept of Heaven as a myth, stating that there is "no heaven or afterlife" and that such a notion was a "fairy story for people afraid of the dark."[66][74] Hawking contrasted religion and science in 2010, saying: "There is a fundamental difference between religion, which is based on authority, [and] science, which is based on observation and reason. Science will win because it works."[75] From: Wikipedia.com - "Stepehn Hawking" and http://abcnews.go.com/WN/stephen-hawking-god-create-universe-question-day/story?id=11542128 Scientist Stephen Hawking Says There Is No God Stephen Hawking, a brilliant physicist at Cambridge University, tells Guardian writer Ian Sample in an interview published yesterday, that there is not God as we imagine it and there is no life after the death of the body. From: http://www.newsinabox.net/1428/scientist-stephen-hawking-says-there-is-no-god.html Dr. Hawking demonstrates for us that intelligence and an aptitude for science does not lead to a belief in God or religion. Being smart should help foster and strengthen religious beliefs but it does not always happen. No, mental brilliance does not always lead to correct beliefs or brilliant decisions. People of lesser intelligence, even children can sometimes make better choices and decisions. At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do." (Luke 10:21) (New International Version) Does God exist? 1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good. (Psalms 53:1) (NIV) 6 Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God. (Isaiah 44:6) (American Standard Version) 5 I am Jehovah, and there is none else; besides me there is no God. I will gird thee, though thou hast not known me; 6 that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me: I am Jehovah, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:5,6) (ASV) What can we learn about Jehovah God? "Come, YOU sons, listen to me; The fear of Jehovah is what I shall teach YOU." (Psalm 34:11) (New World Tranlation) www.WatchTower.org Should we fear God? The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do his commandments: His praise endureth for ever. (Psalms 111:10 (ASV) "I opened my arms to my own people all day long, but they have rebelled. They follow their own evil paths and thoughts." (Isaiah 65:2) (NIV) For it is a rebellious people, untruthful sons, sons who have been unwilling to hear the law of Jehovah; (Isaiah 30:9) (NWT) It is a fact that most people do not believe in Jehovah. What will be their fate? "And the word of Jehovah continued to occur to me, saying... ‘An end, the end, has come upon the four extremities of the land. Now the end is upon you, and I must send my anger against you, and I will judge you according to your ways and bring upon you all your detestable things. And my eye will not feel sorry for you, neither will I feel compassion, for upon you I shall bring your own ways, and in the midst of you your own detestable things will come to be; and YOU people will have to know that I am Jehovah.’ " (Ezekiel 7:1-4) (NWT) “Look! The day of Jehovah itself is coming, cruel both with fury and with burning anger, in order to make the land an object of astonishment, and that it may annihilate [the land’s] sinners out of it." (Isaiah 13:9) (NWT) "And the crowd of those strange to you must become just like fine powder, and the crowd of the tyrants just like the chaff that is passing away. And it must occur in an instant, suddenly. From Jehovah of armies you will have attention with thunder and with quaking and with a great sound, storm wind and tempest, and the flame of a devouring fire.” (Isaiah 29:5-6) (NWT) 12 "I will 'destine' you to the sword. All of you will bow before the executioner, for when I called, you did not answer. When I spoke, you did not listen. You deliberately sinned--before my very eyes --and chose to do what you know I despise." (Isaiah 65:12) (New Living Translation) Who is NOT afraid of Jehovah? “Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways." (Proverbs 8:32) (NIV) Who are Jehovah's "children"? Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matt 19:14) (NIV) Children are highly desirable to Jehovah - and so are adults who are willing to become His children. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matt 18:3) (NIV) He said, “Surely they are my people, children who will be true to me”; and so he became their Savior. (Isaiah 63:8) (NIV) I myself said, “‘How gladly would I treat you like my children and give you a pleasant land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation.’ I thought you would call me ‘Father’ and not turn away from following me." (Jeremiah 3:19) (NIV) Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matt 5:9) (NIV) 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (Matt 5:44-45) (NIV) The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!" (Mark 10:24) (NIV) Jehovah wants everyone to be His children but the vast majority of people in this world reject Him. Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. (Matt 23:37) (NIV) But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. (Luke 6:35) (NIV) Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— (John 1:12) (NIV) For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. (Romans 8:14) (NIV) ...and, “In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’” (Romans 9:26) (NIV) I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children. (1corinthians 4:14) (NIV) As a fair exchange—I speak as to my children—open wide your hearts also. (2corinthians 6:13) (NIV) So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, (Galatians 3:26) (NIV) So that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky. (Phillipians 2:15) ( NIV) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. (1John 3:1) (NIV) We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. 1John 5:19) (NIV) Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. (Revelation 21:7) (NIV) What advice is appropriate for those who want to be God's children in these last days? Do not become wise in your own eyes. Fear Jehovah and turn away from bad.
